During the course of the last ten years, I have had the opportunity to work with several personal trainers and I have had very positive results as they were all very good trainers. But it was during my training with Sue that dramatically changed my outlook on the importance of fitness in my life. Working with Sue has been a real delight and I feel very much better in myself and about myself as a result of her excellent training and encouragement.
Sue is by far the best personal trainer my husband and I have had the privilege of working with. She takes her profession very seriously and is continuously upgrading and expanding her knowledge and training skills with new routines, equipment, nutrition and general lifestyle well being. She watches every move you make while working out and insists on the importance of maintaining proper form so as not to create any injuries. I used to go to a chiropractor on a weekly basis prior to working with Sue. I haven't had a reason to visit him in well over 6 months now. AND....we never get bored doing the same old circuit. She challenges us with new routines and pushes us to limits she knows we are capable of, under her watchful eye. We are stronger, healthier, more energetic, and look and feel so much better, thanks to Sue.
I spend a few random months in Cayman every year and Sue always manages to fit me into her schedule even though I show up without much warning. It is really hard to keep up with a fitness program when every day seems like a holiday in Cayman, but it's nice to know that Sue is there to keep me on track....but it's not just her expertise about fitness. She is an amazing person. She is open and honest and kind and considerate. It makes it much easier to get up at 6:00am to go and meet her for a vigorous workout.
Sue's program got me back into shape after baby number two and the follow up sessions are a great way to keep the workout interesting and ensure that my fitness level keeps improving.
I have recently lost over 65lbs and decided I needed to start a more rigorous exercise program, one that would challenge me and help me tone up. I've been working with Sue now for the past month as my personal trainer and it has made such a positive change in my life. I can see significant results in my body and my strength and endurance has increased dramatically. I am doing activities now that I could never do before. I especially like my sessions with Sue because she mixes up the routines each week and always gives me a new challenge. I would never have tried doing some of the activities Sue has motivated me to do. I feel like a brand new machine now and I look forward to working out. I look forward to continuing my personal training with Sue and to meet my goals of having a firmer and stronger body.
I decided to invest in the services of a personal trainer in the summer of 2007.At the age of 46, I had been working out with weights for two years but had hit a plateau and had 5 pounds of body fat to lose. I wanted to gain muscle, lose fat, and learn more about the proper form for weight training to decrease the chance of injury. I asked around the Grand Cayman fitness community about personal trainers and kept hearing about Sue Merren. The feedback I got about Sue was that she was a highly educated professional who always got results for her clients. This may sound silly, but I also knew who Sue was and admired her perfect physique.
I signed up with Sue for a two month program. She is very thorough; she sent over a questionnaire prior to our first meeting to understand my goals, and we discussed my background and fitness goals at length before beginning my training. My workouts with Sue were the perfect combination of hard work, learning, challenge, fun, and motivation. Sue is an expert and extremely knowledgeable. I found her to be inspirational, upbeat, and tough. I got excellent results, and lost fat and gained muscle in the time I spent in training. I also enjoyed the training and looked forward to every session; Sue makes the sessions fun even though they are challenging. No two training sessions with Sue are alike and you learn something new at every session. Two years later, I still have better and safer workouts based on my training with Sue. I intend to go back to Sue for a refresher round soon. Personal training with Sue does not have to be an "all or nothing" commitment. Like any other expert, she is a valued consultant that can help you achieve the best body you can. I highly recommend Sue Merren as a personal trainer.
Sue Merren works with knowledge and patience, two characteristics that raise her from an average to an outstanding trainer. I injured my spine some years ago and needed to maintain strong muscles to support the spinal column. Sue is constantly finding new methodologies for training and ensuring I have a safe, varied and challenging work-out. I have felt much stronger, had more energy and had increased capacity to manage stress.
I was a 47 year old arthritis patient when I started Pilates with Innovative Fitness in January 2008; I was also about 30 lbs heavier than I wanted to be. Since doing Pilates with Sue as my personal trainer, my joints are healthier than they have ever been and even though I am not completely pain free, it has made a tremendous difference in my lifestyle. I even eat better now thanks to Sue’s healthy eating advice and guidance. Now not only do I look good but I feel great and I live a much healthier lifestyle.
I always look forward to my Pilates sessions with Sue with great anticipation, especially when I have been away traveling. She is a great inspiration and always encourages me to do more but in a gentle way. I have certainly built up my core strength and improved my deportment.
I do know that without much cardio and doing Pilates with you for 6 weeks or less I believe I lost some inches and pounds, and got rid of shoulder and hip pain I have been having for over 6 months, and felt energized.
